The Story of Scooter’s Coffee

Scooter’s Coffee was founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles, who opened their very first drive-thru coffeehouse in Bellevue, Nebraska. Their success was built on simple principles: finding  great locations, serving high-quality drinks, delivering fast service, and always greeting customers with a big smile

More than two decades later, Scooter’s Coffee continues to thrive because of these same values and its core belief:

Back in 1998, Linda Eckles started adding a “smiley face” sticker to every drink as a way of telling customers:
“Have an amazing day!”
This small gesture of happiness became a signature tradition—customers loved it so much that many said it completely brightened their day.
